Evening Events
Wednesday Dine Around
Live it. Love it. Find it in the Pearl
Easily one of Portland’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Pearl District is home to some of the city’s best-known chefs and restaurants, world-class art galleries, and vibrant shops and boutiques. Formerly a neglected corridor of abandoned warehouses and railways, the Pearl District has earned a worldwide reputation for urban renaissance. Located in the heart of downtown and roughly a mile from the Heathman Hotel, we have selected three fantastic restaurants from which you may choose. Note: you are responsible for paying for your dinner at the restaurant at the end of the evening.
Adina Restaurant
Andina celebrates Peru’s long history, its current culinary renaissance, and the homegrown bounty of Oregon in the cuisine. Sourcing ingredients both locally and in direct trade with a community of organic farmers in Chincha, Peru, our goals are to serve delicious food in a beautiful, lively setting, offering a genuine taste of Peruvian culture. www.andinarestaurant.com
Paragon Restaurant & Bar
Paragon is a neighborhood gastropub serving ingredient-driven and honest food with a popular bar offering craft beers, unique artisan cocktails and eclectic wines. Paragon offers a casual and approachable dining experience with a hint of nostalgia that both roots you to the present and takes you back to the familiar. The stylish décor complements the contemporary menu of new and reinterpreted American classics. paragonrestaurant.com/menus.portland
The Hairy Lobster
The Hairy Lobster combines classic cuisine with modern cooking influences into a shared plate concept. Located on the corner of Jameson Square park, THL offers up the talents of husband and wife team David and Mellisa Root creating dishes that tap into classic American cooking utilizing recipes that have been carried down through the ages. A full bar concentrates on artisanal craft cocktail; while the menu focuses on seafood, garden, and barn offerings. You must absolutely save room for a dessert off of the acclaimed confection menu. www.thehairylobster.com
Thursday Evening Dinner: Coopers Hall, an Urban Winery (Included in your registration fee)
"Locally sourced, sustainable, and seasonal ingredients are not just buzzwords with Chef Keith Morris who leads our kitchen at Coopers Hall, they are part of his daily routine. His food, which leans on his classic French and Alsatian background, embodies our overarching demand for quality and excellence within our space, while celebrating our local food partners. With Sous Chef Jeremy Pratt in second command, our kitchen continues to exceed our guest’s expectations, whether a party of two or a group of two hundred."
In order to support a sustainable Portland and as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, AHIA and Coopers Hall will donate all leftover food from our Thursday night event to Urban Gleaners, a nonprofit that collects food from stores and restaurants that otherwise would go to waste and funnels it to needy people across the metro area.
